Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Groves at Frequented California Coast
A helicopter hovering over a popular southern California shoreline unexpectedly began spiraling wildly, ultimately losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Footage posted online depict the chopper starting to spin near the shoreline then plunging towards the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a staircase near the coastal road.
First Aid Information
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Details on their injuries were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
